ZZ plants, or Zamioculcas zamiifolia are lovely houseplants because they can take low light, aren’t rapid growers and don’t need excessive water. because of its lower maintenance nature, ZZ plants are also a great beginner plant for anyone that doesn’t have much gardening experience. Keep yours outdoors in the shade or inside in bright indirect light. When the first inch of soil is completely dry, water thoroughly. The black ZZ is very unique as the leaves are completely dark. The newest growth on the plant comes out green and fades into that deep, black color. When fertilizing, we recommend an organic liquid “Flourish” fertilizer. This will promote new and happy growth.

This black leaf plant make the perfect spooky plant for this Halloween. Not only for Halloween though, with their dark colored leaves, the black ZZ complements other colors very well.
