Panama Rose
Rondeletia leucophylla
not valid on prior purchases • cash & carry
Panama Rose (Rondeletia leucophylla) is an evergreen shrub that is a great option for a showy, colorful hedge or a stand-alone plant in the landscape. They love the full sun and produce their vibrant and plentiful pink blooms from October to June. They do not bloom in the heat of the summer. Panama Rose can grow 5’ to 15’ tall and can be trimmed to keep as a small bush or a small tree. Using the Sure-Gro 6-8-10 fertilizer will keep the blooms coming and the leaves green. Be sure to use a well-draining soil when keeping as a potted plant, as they don’t like excess moisture but will need supplemental watering during our dry season.
Fun Fact!
Panama Rose is also referred to as Bush Penta because the flowers closely resemble Penta blooms. Panama Rose is also a nectar source for butterflies and hummingbirds! They produce a sweet scent at night and softens up during the day.
