Lantana Camara are well known for their heat and drought tolerance. They produce clusters of flowers that are loved by pollinators, like bees and butterflies. Lantana trees are a unique way to display their characteristics! Lantanas are commonly grown on borders or into small shrubs, but these varieties are trained into a miniature tree. The Athens Rose lantana displays beautiful flowers with shades of yellow and pink while the Lola variety blooms with vibrant yellow flowers. Lantanas typically grow 2ft tall and about 6ft wide, but these varieties are trained to grow upright into a small tree reaching around 4ft. They bloom throughout most of the year and require at least 5 hours or direct sun. Since they are drought tolerant, they prefer to go dry between waterings. They do best with regular trimming after a bloom cycle to maintain their tree form. We recommend fertilizing with Sure Gro 6-8-10 to keep the blooms coming.

Fun Fact!

The flowers of Lantana camara change color as they age, which helps attract more pollinators! Bees and butterflies are drawn to the newer, more vibrant blooms first while the older flowers change colors to indicate what has been pollinated.
