Lime Sizzler Firebush (Hamelia patens ‘Grelmsiz’) is a vibrant shrub that shows of neon variegated foliage and sizzling hot orange -red tubular flowers that hummingbirds and butterflies can’t resist. This showstopper will brighten any space and can be used as a border hedge, a stand-alone focal point, or a decorative container. To keep your Lime Sizzler thriving, plant in at least 6 hours of sun per day. It can tolerate part shade especially in the hottest part of the day. Lime Sizzler has a uniform bushy growth habit from 3’ – 5’ tall and equally as wide. Prune as needed and water regularly during the first year of planting. Established plants are moderately drought tolerant but may need additional water during dry season. Fertilize with Nurseryman’s Sure Gro 6-8-10 for optimal flower and leaf form.
